ARE YOU GONNA LAY HANDS ON ME?
I was just about to go to sleep a few weeks back, and I felt like the Lord impressed me to get up go do laundry. I was like are you kidding me? But wanting to be obedient I went tired and all.
So I was sitting there listening to my ipod, and reading. I looked over and saw a lady with two kids doing laundry when the Lord begin to speak to me about her and her kids.
I texted my wife to let her know, asked her to be praying, and I wanted let her know before I ministered to a woman. Anyway....I approached the lady I said that I felt like the Lord wanted to encourage her. She said okay, and I begin to tell her the things that the Lord has placed on my heart for her and her kids. The Lord comforted her about something that were going on in her life, and the life of her kids. As I was ministering to her a guy was walking by us, by now he had stopped and was listening. After I was done she said thanks, and the guy who was still standing by shook my hand and said hey I will be right back, but I wanna know if you got something for me?
In my mind I was like WOW! He walked out, and I prayed and asked God if there was anything that he wanted to say to him? Of course God wants to speak, He is good like that. So the guy came back in and waved me over to where he was seated. As soon as I got over to where he was the first thing he said was ARE YOU GONNA LAY HANDS ON ME? I said no and begin to minister to him the word of the Lord. The man was totally blown away, he was like are you crazy? I was like crazy for Jesus! LOL! I gave him twenty bucks because I felt like the Lord said that He was gonna repay the man for the things that were stolen from him for the last twenty years.
After ministering to him the guy embraced me for a while ( I say embraced instead of hug because the dude was not letting go) I knew that he had felt the love of the Lord, and was clinging to me as if he was clinging to Jesus. He than let me go and said did you just lay hands on me? I was like I guess you can say that, and we laughed. I am not sure why he asked me that but I wonder if he felt something tangible as my hands touched his back? Who knows!!!
I left and continued to do my laundry, and he came back over to me and said that I had totally scared him! He said that no one had ever spoke to him like that before, he than said I don't think you are finished with me and he gave me his number. The dude gave me every number possible. He was like I am at this number between these hours etc... I thought this was great, the dude just didn't know what to do. He had encountered God is such a way that he was just baffled.
Of course all glory goes to God, God just placed me in the right place at the right time. He gave me his number because he said that he wanted me to call him from time to time to share scripture with him , and to pray with him. The very next morning guess who called? You guessed it! We talked for a while and it was really kool. I had no idea even if he would remember me because you can tell that he had been drinking the night before. So any way I just wanted to share this with everyone to encourage you to go out and be contagious!

I WAS JUST THINKING...
What's up with His eyes?
Sometimes God uses everyday life experiences to show how great He is. The other day I and Zion (my 6 year old daughter) was at a friend’s house. Zion was in the restroom, when we noticed a huge black spider was in the bathtub. I was torn between rushing in and killing the spider or just helping Zion move pass the state of shock that she was in. I chose to just help Zion because she was ceased with fear. I just begin to talk to her in a very calm voice reassuring her that I would not let anything happen to her. I told her to look me in the eyes, but she kept her head down; she wasn’t moving or responding. I again reassured her that because I was there she had nothing to worry about. Finally she looked up at me, and I told her to just keep her eyes locked on me. She was still terrified; she didn’t want to walk to the sink to wash her hands. I assured her again, just look into my eyes, and finish up. She finished washing her hands (looking at me the whole time) and walked out and hugged me.
This is such a picture of Papa God! When we find ourselves in scary or trying situations He just wants us to look into His eyes. When we stay focused on Him we can accomplish anything. Even when we are surrounded by crazy situations, and circumstances our focus needs to be on Him. Instead of Zion saying go take care of the spider she allowed herself to trust her Dad to comfort her, and walk her through a very real and scary situation. Sometimes when we are walking through a storm, or are surrounded by things we are tempted to get angry with God for not making the things around us change. I don’t know why He chooses not to act the way we want Him to but, during those times when our surrounding aren’t changing we can just look into Papa’s eyes, and listen to His voice reassuring us everything will be okay.
Be encouraged today, no matter what the situation may be look into His eyes, and allow yourself to trust Him.

I WAS JUST THINKING...
What is obedience?
Obedience is the state or quality of being obedient. The act or practice of obeying; dutiful or submissive compliance.
Has God ever asked you to do something that seemed odd? Or seemed insignificant? Well this weekend, this very thing happened to me. I was getting out my car, and I felt like the Lord told me to give someone some bubbles. I was like are you serious? I debated for a while, and finally I just grabbed the bubbles and went to my destination. So I arrived said my hello’s and just placed the bubbles on the desk. After a few hours I came back, and I was asked why are these here? I was in agony for a few seconds until I finally said I felt like the Lord wanted me to bring you bubbles. This is what she posted on her blog
“Sometimes days can be rough. The day may not go the way you planned.Hey sometimes we have bad days. It just happens, that's when you talk to Abba daddy, and let Him know. Well today He knew about my day, and He sent me bubbles, so I blew bubbles. It was totally fun. Just that simple, He made me smile. God is soooo good you never know how He will bless you.I will remember not to put God in a box.........maybe you should blow some bubbles today”
I was so blown away by this! God is so wonderful, you just never know how He is going to help someone’s day. I just want to encourage everyone, do what you feel He is speaking to your heart.
